The origins of the Bertolone family's baking legacy date back to 1860 when their great-great-grandfather Giacomo opened his first oven in Primo Torinese, a hilltop town in the province of Chieri, near Turin. In very little time Giacomo's baked goods were famous throughout the region, to such an extent that customers would queue outside the bakery to buy the products as soon as they were taken from the ovens. It is said that the aromas from the oven reached for hundreds of metres, an Giacomo's goods graced the tables of the most prestigious of Turin families.

The family continues to use only the highest quality ingredients, slow, natural proving times, a large part of the production process is still done by hand, and a slow, gently bake that achieves the golden, crisp results. These are the characteristics that first established Giacomo's popularity and continue to make Casa Vecchio Mulino's prodcuts so widely enjoyed to this day.

The linguette are perfect to serve alongside any antipasti, and ideal for serving with soft cheeses or topping with fresh tomatoes.
