Showstopping antipasti made from Puglian Borretane onions and Balsamico di Modena IGP.
The Borettane is a mild, sweet Italian pearl onion that is flat. The onions are harvested, then washed, peeled and quickly blanched, before being stored in Balsamic vinegar IGP to imbue its sweetly acidic flavour into the onion until it takes on a softer texture.
Serve sliced in salads or as a show-stopping antipasto.
