This traditional sauce is produced in Cetara with anchovies fished in the Gulf of Salerno. This sauce is a traditional Campanian product whose origins date back to the Romans.
Acquapazza Gourmet is a small company founded in the historical centre of Cetara, in the Amalfi Coast. It still produces its anchovy syrup in small and precious quantities, according to ancient and traditional techniques.
This sauce is particularly good with spaghetti but it is also delicious in soups, potatoes and boiled vegetables, rice, fish, meat or simply on bread.
