Made from either ground almonds or almond paste along with sugar and egg whites, Amaretti take their name from bitter almonds with which these little biscuits are flavoured. This vintage, red box includes crunchy Amaretti (as per the Saronno tradition), each of them elegantly wrapped in colourful tissue paper. The biscuits are decorated with sugar granules and come in the plain almond flavour.
Based in Saronno (the land of amaretti), Lazzaroni’s amaretti have become worldwide famous thanks to the high quality of the ingredients and the passion used in the production of these delicious biscuits.
Amaretti are traditionally served with dessert wines, liqueur or coffee, but they are also a delicious addition or ingredient in many desserts.
