We have been making fresh homemade sauces at Lina Stores since 1944.

Description

Much debate has been had about the origins, name and recipe of Puttanesca. We make ours using tomato, anchovies, garlic, black olives, capers and chilli. Excellent with dried Spaghetti, Linguine, our fresh Casarecce or Green Fusilli. Finish with freshly chopped parsley or basil and some good extra virgin olive oil.

Portion size

500g serves 4 x 125g portions of pasta.

Cooking Instructions

Warm the sauce on low heat in a pan until heated through. Add cooked pasta of choice to the sauce and mix until fully incorporated. Finish with freshly chopped parsley or basil and some good extra virgin olive oil.

Storage

Store in fridge and consume by use-by date.

Sauces can be frozen from fresh for up to 3 months. Defrost or heat in a pan on a low heat directly from frozen. Add a small amount of water if necessary to prevent burning. Ensure sauce is completely defrosted and cooked through before serving.
