Pear fruit mostarda is a unique Italian condiment from Cremona where the crystallised fruits are preserved in a clear syrup and flavoured with mustard seed oil.
Barbieri is a family-owned business located in the Oltrepo area. They have been making fruit mostardas, jams and other sauces for decades, and are especially known for their Mostarda di Voghera which has been awarded the renowned De.C.O. mark, an important acknowledgment given to exceptional products.
The sweet yet 'piccante' mustard taste is perfect with salami, roast pork meat, hams, hard cheese like Parmesan, pecorino or cheddar, as well as goat's cheese or ricotta.
