Provolone del Monaco is a semi-hard cheese with a smooth rind. The cheese itself is compact, creamy and white. Buttery, sharp and round in flavour with a long aftertaste, this cheese is matured for at least 6 months and is named after the sacks in which it used to be transported by traders, which in turn, resembled the hats worn by monks.

The ripe flavour of the cheese goes well with full-bodied and aged red wines and can be served with hot chutneys, homemade breads and flatbreads.

Not vegetarian. Contains Milk and dairy. Unpasteurised.
