Torta di Siena is a Tuscan pastry dating back to Medieval times.
This version of the classic pastry is made with a base of dried figs and earthy walnuts dusted with white sugar.
Established in 1948 in Chianciano (Tuscany), Marabissi claims to have the secret recipe for the torta di Siena: only use the best quality ingredients and respect the traditional Tuscan way of making this treat.
Served with a glass of sweet wine, the torta fichi e noci makes for a simple yet elegant end to any meal. It also pairs perfectly with a wide variety of cheeses from mild and creamy ones to more aged, saltier pecorino.
